Would be handy if you would tell us what your skills are and where you shot at. Without that we can't tell anything, if you shoot cruisers with torps at any range it will only do like 50 to 80 damage max depends on skills. Unless he is microwarpd...

I fly both raven and mega in PvP almost every day and if a raven starts within the 25K of my blasterthron he doesn't stand a chanse when he is shieldtanked. Longrange is different, range with guns doesn't allow you to scramble and tank with railgu...

If you refer to PvP you can't do that much than useing them in fleets to engage bigger targets. A well fitted cruiser has no trouble killing an AF. If you refer to NPC and agent running you get stuck to lvl2 agent missions i think. I fly enyo myse...

This thread is about blasters not about friching DPS for autocannons :) The changes TomB announced aren't even damage wise, only fitting and capuse. in my opinion the capuse and CPU use is little too high, PG is fine compared to the other races.

Why do lot of people whine about the emgapulses. YES they have a great range for the damage BUT the thing is that they are only good when you stack 3 or 4 Heat Sinks II. A single apoc can't kill a other BS with an armortank because it lacks damage...
